Will Stone’s Amendments included in Government’s Road Safety Strategy Consultation – Running until 31st March 2026

Take part in the consultation and help get Harry Parker’s Amendment’s into Government Policy

Will is bringing forward the following amendments to the Road Safety Consultation:

“Failure to stop

1.        The Road Traffic Act 1988 is amended as follows.

2.        In Section 170, after subsection (4) insert—

(4A) The maximum penalties available to the Courts when sentencing an individual who has been convicted of an offence under this section are as follows—

        (a) An unlimited fine;

        (b) A custodial sentence of one year; and

        (c) Disqualification from driving for a period of up to two years

               When considering its sentence, the Court may issue more than one of the maximum penalties listed above.”

“Unlicensed drivers: penalties

1.        The Road Traffic Act 1988 is amended as follows.

2.        In Section 87, after subsection (2) insert—

(2A) The maximum penalty available to the Courts when sentencing an individual who has been convicted of driving without a license, and who has never held a license, shall be an unlimited fine, or a custodial sentence of six months (or both).

Will Stone returning to the Army, committed to joining the Army Reserves

“I believe in leading from the front. That’s why I’m joining up to the reserves. In such turbulent times, it’s on all of us to step up and do our part. Through serving as your MP, working with the Drone Sector to bring jobs and joining up I plan on doing my part.”

Will Stone Year In Review

This Year Will Stone brought the first stages of his plan to deindustrialise Swindon into fruition, with over 800 jobs brought to the town from various Drone manufacturing partners like STARK, TEKEVER and FLYBY Dynamics. He also supported a number of residents through local constituency work.
